Favorites & Lists
The favorites view provides quick access to all objects you have saved with the heart icon, and lets you organize objects into lists.
Saving Objects as Favorites
- In the catalog: Tap the heart icon next to an object
- In the detail view: Tap the heart in the upper right
- By swiping: In some lists you can swipe left to manage favorites
Favorites View
Open Favorites via Menu → “Favorites”. The view has two tabs:
Tab: My Lists
Organize your observation objects into named collections:
- Create list: Tap “+”, enter a name
- Add objects: Open a list and tap “+” to add objects from the catalog
- Open list: Tap a list to see its objects
- Set objects as target: Tap an object in the list to open the detail view
- Catalog membership: In the detail view you see catalog badges (e.g. “M31”, “C1”). Tap to see all objects of the same catalog
Tab: Favorites
The list shows all saved objects with the same information as in the catalog (name, position, brightness, distance). Filter tabs help with filtering:

Actions
- Tap a planet → Sets it directly as target
- Tap a DSO → Opens the detail view
- Tap a constellation → Opens the constellation view
- Swipe left → Removes the favorite
Calibration Star Favorites
Calibration stars have their own favorites system (★ symbol). These appear in the “Favorites” section of the calibration view for quick access when calibrating.
